The SaaS company Vimeo has expanded its leadership team by two new hires in order to further its mission of encouraging the use of its products as office supplies.
As the chief marketing officer of Vimeo, Lynn Girotto has past experience from Tableau, Microsoft, Starbucks, and Getty Images. In her new role, she will oversee Vimeo’s initiatives to increase brand recognition. The CEO, Anjali Sud, will get her report.
from New York City In 2004, Vimeo was founded with an emphasis on the creative industries and now has 260 million users. In 2019, the company unveiled Vimeo Enterprise, a solution created for large businesses that enable users to share video across offices.
According to Girotto, the bulk of the world is still ignorant of us as a B2B software solution. I’m eager to conquer the substantial and developing industry for video software by utilizing our reputable brand, engaged user base, and “freemium” revenue model.
As chief product officer, Ashraf Alkarmi will also be working for Vimeo (Nasdaq:VMEO).
Alkarmi worked with Amazon in a range of roles, creating a business-grade streaming solution for AWS and launching and overseeing Facebook Watch at Meta. Alkarmi most recently held the position of general manager for Amazon’s Freevee division (formerly known as IMDb TV).
Sud stated, “I am happy to welcome both of them to an executive team that is committed to providing video to every person, team, and business in the globe.
Other notable hires at Vimeo include chief revenue officer Eric Cox, chief financial officer Gillian Munson, and chief people officer Crystal Boysen.
