Kwik, a B2B logistics company, is increasing its digital capabilities with the launch of KwikStore, a free eCommerce shop that enables African businesses to do transactions from their cellphones.

“Social sellers may link their KwikStores to their social media profiles, automating the sale, fulfillment, inventory management, and delivery process, allowing them to focus on sales and advertising,” the Nigerian and French company asserted in a news release. “KwikStore is a free component of the Kwik Delivery app that needs no upfront payment or service costs other than typical payment gateway fees.”

Merchants may brand their KwikStore, according to the publication. When a merchant authorizes an order and payment is completed, Kwik instantly dispatches a driver to the pickup location. Customers can also arrange for their own order pick-up.

Customers will require a Kwik account to use KwikStore, although the service may be used independently of the Kwik Delivery platform, which allows merchants to sell anywhere in Africa using their preferred delivery method.

In March, Kwik raised $2 million in a Series A investment round, stating that the funds will be used to boost customer acquisition, grow its operations in Nigeria, and bring the number of merchants on its network to 800,000 by the end of the year.

“We hope to become the premier app choice for African social sellers and traditional companies going digital,” said Founder and CEO Romain Poirot-Lelig at the time. “It’s an enticing concept to seamlessly merge delivery, payment, and eCommerce capabilities into a single user-friendly smartphone app,” says the founder. “This round of investment will allow us to expand across all three primary industries and select areas.”
