Consumers in the United States have never had more options for shopping, paying for, and acquiring eCommerce products.
According to “The ConnectedEconomyTM Monthly Report,” an increasing number of people employ choices such as curbside and in-store pickup, same-day delivery, and subscription commerce.
According to the report, 36% of customers purchased items through retail subscription services in May. This was down from 37% the previous month but up from 30% six months prior.
Similarly, in May, 36% of consumers purchased things online and picked them up curbside from a shop, down from 38% in April but up from 34% in November 2021.
37 percent of customers purchased items online for in-store pickup, the same as the previous month and up from 35 percent in January.
In May, 33 percent of customers purchased items from a same-day delivery website, up from 32 percent in April and 25 percent in November 2021.
In May, several of these customers employed these tactics on a daily basis. The percentage of people who stated they shopped using these ways on a daily basis was 9% for picking up items in-store, 8% for buying them from a same-day delivery website, 6% for picking them up curbside from a store, and 6% for buying products through retail subscriptions.
